OneBite Privacy

Effective 3 September 2026. This policy applies to the OneBite app (com.x70.OneBite). A local-first meal journal that creates editable nutrition estimates from a photo or description using Apple frameworks and an offline fallback.

2. What x70 collects

x70 does not receive meal photographs, descriptions, nutrition estimates, saved meals, targets, searches, or trends.
OneBite has no account, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, remote model endpoint, or developer-operated nutrition backend.

3. Data kept by the app

Reviewed meal names and descriptions, nutrition estimates, energy and macro values, provenance, meal categories, journal history, targets, preferences, and purchase-entitlement state are stored in the app container.
A selected or captured meal photograph is held temporarily in memory for the capture and review workflow. OneBite does not save it in the meal journal, portable archive, or private CloudKit records. Saving the meal or choosing Clear releases the capture image; any original in your photo library remains under your control.
A portable archive is created only when you choose Export, and you control the destination in Apple's system interface.

4. When data leaves the device

Apple Intelligence and Vision

Supported devices use Apple's Foundation Models and Vision frameworks for the estimate workflow. OneBite does not send the prompt, photograph, or model result to an x70 server. Devices without an available model use the labelled Local fallback.

Optional private iCloud sync

If you select Synced mode, OneBite sends eligible meal-journal records to your private Apple CloudKit database so they can appear on your devices. x70 does not operate the sync server or use the content for training, advertising, or profiling.

Apple StoreKit

Apple processes App Store purchase information. OneBite receives only transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock or restore OneBite Full.

5. Permissions

Camera and Photo Library access is requested only after you choose the corresponding meal-capture action.
Files access occurs only through the system picker when you export or import an archive.
iCloud access is used only after you select Synced mode.

6. Tracking, advertising, and analytics

OneBite does not track you across apps or websites, sell app data, show third-party advertising, or include a developer-operated product-analytics SDK. System diagnostics remain controlled by your Apple device settings unless you deliberately share information with support.

7. Retention and deletion

Local journal records remain until you delete meals, erase OneBite data, or remove the app, subject to backups controlled by Apple.
Private CloudKit records remain until you erase synced data or stop and remove sync data through OneBite, subject to Apple's retention and recovery behavior.

8. Support, rights, and security

If you email support, x70 receives the contact information and message you choose to send. Do not include sensitive app records unless they are necessary for your request. Support correspondence is handled under the main x70 website Privacy Policy.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Email contact@x70.one. You may also complain to the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA).

The app uses Apple platform protections appropriate to the data it stores. No storage method is risk-free, so keep your device updated, use a device passcode, and protect exported archives yourself.

9. Audience and safety

OneBite is a general nutrition-estimation journal, not a medical service. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or create an x70 account and does not knowingly collect children's personal data.

10. Changes

A material change to the app's data handling will be reflected in this policy and, where required, in the App Store privacy disclosure before the changed feature is released.
