QuitNow Privacy

Effective 3 September 2026. This policy applies to the QuitNow app (com.x70.QuitNow). A private, local-first habit-change journal with Daily Plan, Rescue, progress, coping, safety resources, and a bounded Apple Intelligence Coach.

2. What x70 collects

x70 does not receive Journey details, behavior categories, goals, Daily Plans, urges, occurrences, lapses, coping plans, progress, reminders, app-lock state, or support-person information.
QuitNow has no account, CloudKit sync, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, support upload, or developer-operated coaching backend. Coach requests are limited to four product-owned tasks; the app does not expose an arbitrary model prompt or send Journey data to x70.
In the current release, Coach processing is on-device-only. Every request first passes QuitNow's deterministic safety gate on the device. Safety-bound requests receive a fixed local response without calling a model; eligible requests use Apple's Foundation Models on device.
If an Apple model is unavailable, times out, or fails, QuitNow returns reviewed deterministic guidance locally without transmitting the Coach note. The source contains a separately gated Private Cloud Compute-capable lane, but the current production profile disables it, so Coach content cannot route to Private Cloud Compute in this release.

3. Data kept by the app

Journey and behavior records, Daily Plans, urge and lapse entries, coping plans, progress summaries, preferences, and purchase-entitlement state are stored in a file protected by iOS complete data protection.
An archive is created only when you choose Export. Imports are validated before replacing the current local archive.
Coach notes and generated responses are transient, are not added to the Journey archive, and are not retained by x70.

4. When data leaves the device

Apple StoreKit

Apple processes App Store transactions. QuitNow receives only the entitlement state needed to unlock or restore QuitNow Full.

Support and safety links

Professional, crisis, source, privacy, and support links open websites or telephone services controlled by their respective operators. They receive ordinary request or call data under their own policies only after you choose the link. QuitNow does not send your Journey record with it.

5. Permissions

Notifications are requested only after you choose a reminder and use neutral lock-screen wording.
Local authentication may be used for the optional app lock; biometric information remains with iOS and is not available to x70.
Files access occurs only through the system picker when you export or import an archive.

6. Tracking, advertising, and analytics

QuitNow does not track you across apps or websites, sell app data, show third-party advertising, or include a developer-operated product-analytics SDK. System diagnostics remain controlled by your Apple device settings unless you deliberately share information with support.

7. Retention and deletion

Records remain on the device until you delete them, erase all QuitNow data, or remove the app, subject to device backups controlled by Apple.
Coach notes and generated responses are not added to the Journey archive. QuitNow does not retain a server copy because it has no developer backend or CloudKit sync for Journey data, and the current release does not route Coach content to Private Cloud Compute.

8. Support, rights, and security

If you email support, x70 receives the contact information and message you choose to send. Do not include sensitive app records unless they are necessary for your request. Support correspondence is handled under the main x70 website Privacy Policy.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Email contact@x70.one. You may also complain to the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA).

The app uses Apple platform protections appropriate to the data it stores. No storage method is risk-free, so keep your device updated, use a device passcode, and protect exported archives yourself.

9. Audience and safety

QuitNow is intended for adults. It is self-help and logging software rather than medical treatment, diagnosis, or emergency response, and it does not knowingly collect children's personal data.

10. Changes

A material change to the app's data handling will be reflected in this policy and, where required, in the App Store privacy disclosure before the changed feature is released.
